In this bowl turning demonstration, I’ll show the different orientation of mounting log sections for traditional and natural edge bowls. I will also show different methods for holding the wood on the lathe. I will demonstrate my method to make adjustments to the bowl blank so that the best and most attractive grain pattern is revealed inside the bowl. This takes a $40.00 bowl to a $400.00 bowl. I will also show my techniques, methods and tools used to make each bowl. There will be plenty of tips, techniques and helpful hints along the way. We will also discuss safe practices while at the lathe. This class is good for all skill levels of turners.
