Excellent, inspirational piece addition to my toolboxes.
I very recently received the Axminster Eccentric Spiraling Chuck from your company (though I hesitate to call it a chuck, it is actually an attachment to chuck) and have already produced several woodturnings with it, primarily for practice. (By the way, thank you for delivering it very swiftly). The reality has exceeded my expectations. To begin with, this is an outstanding piece of machinery—well-designed and expertly crafted, showcasing typical British craftsmanship. It is very versatile: can be used with a great variety of chucks, not only with the Axminster series. It is straightforward to learn, and tuning it to suit your project’s needs is easy. The attachment is both reliable and simple; in fact, its simplicity is the key to its success and repeatability. Having been available on the market for already quite some time, it is well supported by a wide variety of YouTube videos. I especially appreciate Tod Raines’s excellent one-hour video contribution to this collection. I definitely plan to use this attachment frequently in my future projects, both commercial and creative. But the devil is in the details: the usage of this is only limited by turner's imagination. To date, it is known to produce excellent off-center pendants, boxes, finials, candle holders, and other “strange-looking” items, but what else? I am sure that in the future, contemporary woodturners interested in eccentric woodturning will come up with other creative ideas. We shall see.
