Unlike common pointed tailstock centers, the Axminster Ring and Point Live Centre eliminates the risk of splitting small section or brittle timber. The tip has a small point to help with alignment when mounting your work. Support comes from the raised ring or rim.
The Ring and Point Live Centre leaves only a small mark on the end of the workpiece. The revolving body features sealed dust proof bearings for a long life turning on the lathe. The dimensions of the ring and point exactly match those of the Axminster Ring and Point Drive Center.
