Product Info
The Tiny Turner’s Chameleon Pigments are a finely ground mica powder with an incredible color-shifting chameleon effect. Depending on the angle they are viewed, or how the light interacts with them, the pigments will appear the shift through an array of colors – some through two of three and others displaying a multitude of different shades
Four steps to success
- Prepare the surface by sanding and sealing (optional). An undulating or carved surface provide maximum effect of color shift by a single point of view.
- Add black color as a background to ensure the most impressive look. The product can be added to other background colors for a more subtle effect.
- Add the gilding size (adhesive) to the area where the mica pigment or flake will be applied. Be sure to let the size setup according to the instructions.
- Use a fluffy brush to transfer the mica powder from the jar to the project and swirl the brush around to set the mica into place.
Can be sealed with polyurethane varnish or multiple coats of gloss lacquer (or can be left without a finish on top as this can dull the vibrancy of the colors).
All the Chameleon range of pigments can be used in resin art, giving a dark base to the resin with bright flashes of the color shift when light hits at certain angles
Poison boasts a color-shift of deep pinky-red to green and gold with notes of copper. The matching Chameleon Flake to this pigment is Chimera.
Poison is one of the most popular colors of Chameleon Pigments and can be purchased individually or in a set of 6 along with Arcane, Inferno, Nature, Aether and Nether.
