The Radius Gauge is designed and 3D printed in house by me (Tod Raines). This handy tool will aid in marking tenon diameters wile your turning is between centers. The hook part rests on a 3/4″ diameter thread of your live center. The 2nd generation design now incudes a simple rule on the bottom side. This handy scale with 5mm increments allows you to measure the chuck jaws with this tool. More convenient now as two uses in one.
The top marking scale is in millimeters with a pencil trough every 5 mm. Why millimeters? Since this is a radius gauge, dividing your tenon diameter in half is much easier. For example, a 60mm tenon requires a 30mm radius. However a 2 3/8″ tenon would require a 1 3/16″. It just seems too hard for me to split fractions in half.
A small magnet on the back makes it handy to store right at the lathe.
