The Robust 1/2″ Bowl Gouge is an unhandled nitrided M2 HSS woodturning gouge built for bowl work, including rough shaping, controlled cuts, hollowing, and refining curves. Its parabolic flute provides a strong combination of chip clearance, stiffness, and sharpening flexibility.
This makes it a versatile choice for woodturners who use fingernail, Ellsworth, Irish, conventional, or 40/40 bowl gouge grinds. The gouge ships sharp with a double bevel and standard bowl gouge profile, while the flat-milled top helps support accurate sharpening jig alignment throughout the life of the tool.
