The Robust 1/2″ Detail Spindle Gouge is an unhandled woodturning gouge for spindle details, beads, coves, fine transitions, and shaping cuts. Made from hardened and nitrided M2 high-speed steel, it holds an edge longer and requires less frequent sharpening than standard HSS tools.
The shallow radius flute matches the diameter of the gouge, adding strength and control for detailed spindle work. It ships sharp with a 45-degree bevel and features a flat-milled top for accurate sharpening jig use throughout the life of the tool.
