The Robust 3/8″ Bowl Gouge is a compact unhandled bowl gouge for smaller bowls, detail work, finishing cuts, and controlled shaping on the lathe. Made from hardened and nitrided M2 high-speed steel, it delivers excellent edge holding and reduced sharpening frequency.
The parabolic flute improves chip ejection while maintaining strength, and it can be sharpened to fingernail, Ellsworth, Irish, conventional, or 40/40 bowl gouge grinds. It ships sharp with a standard bowl gouge profile and double bevel, making it a practical choice for woodturners who want precision and versatility in a smaller bowl gouge.
