The Robust 5/8″ Bowl Gouge with Handle is a professional woodturning gouge for bowl turning, hollowing, shaping, and finishing cuts. Made from hardened and nitrided M2 high-speed steel, it is designed for superior edge holding and less frequent sharpening.
The parabolic flute improves chip ejection while maintaining strength, and it works well with fingernail, Ellsworth, Irish, conventional, and 40/40 grinds. This handled version includes a 16″ hard maple handle with a stainless steel ferrule, giving woodturners a ready-to-use gouge with excellent control and reach. It ships sharp with a standard bowl gouge profile and double bevel.
