The Robust 1-1/4″ Spindle Roughing Gouge with Handle is a handled gouge for roughing square spindle stock to round and preparing spindle blanks for shaping and detail work. Milled from solid high-speed steel and treated with Robust’s nitriding process, it provides durable edge performance and reduced sharpening.
The polished flute and 45-degree grind support efficient spindle roughing cuts. This version includes a 12″ premium hard maple handle with polyurethane finish and stainless steel ferrule. This tool is intended for spindle turning only and should not be used for bowl turning.
