The Segment Marking Disk Set includes five marking disks that are designed and 3D printed in house by me (Tod Raines).  These marking disks will aid in layout of multiple degree lines on your work.  Use them to layout center and off-center turning axis on ends of your blank. Use them to layout bowls, platers and other turnings with geometric sides. Add twist to your spindle turning or cut the sides of your bowl or platter flat with a unique number of sides.

The five disk set includes:

  • 5 Segment Disk (72 degrees)
  • 6 Segment Disk (60 degrees) – use to layout 3 (120 degree) or 6 points for boxes, bowls, etc.
  • 7 Segment Disk (51.43 degrees)
  • 8 Segment Disk (45 degrees) – also lays out 4 points
  • 9 Segment Disk (40  degrees)

This disk is 2 3/8″ (60 mm) in diameter.

  • SIMPLE TO USE – Use the center hole to align where you need and mark the
  • EASY TO READ – use the concentric grooves on the disk surface to align over an opening

Segment Marking Disk Set.
Sorry I have not Reviewed sooner. I only just used one of the disk yesterday. I'm trying to do Cindy Drodza's last project. The disk helps with the layout. I'm a draftsman and the disk made the layout faster. The turning did not go so well. That's another story.

Very Useful Tool
If you do any multi-axis turning, this set is a godsend at a very reasonable price. With this set, you can do pieces with 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. 8 and 9 axes. Each disk is very sturdy and will last a long time.
